According to HOAI: Services Overview for Architecture & Interiors (2021)
Annex 10 (from §34 Paragraph 4, §35 Paragraph 7)
The HOAI defines two categories of services that are carried out in the various phases. On the one hand, there are the basic services that are required for every project and are included in the basic fee. In addition, there is a list of detailed services that can be agreed in addition to the basic fee. These include, for example, renderings, 3D models (BIM), feasibility studies and the use of specialists for special work on your building.

b) Site visit
c) Advising on the overall performance and investigation requirements
d) Formulating the decision-making aids for the selection of other parties involved in the planning process
e) Summarising, explaining and documenting the results.
a) Analysing the basics, coordinating the services with those technically involved in planning
b) Coordinating the objectives, pointing out conflicts of objectives
c) Developing the preliminary planning, examining, presenting and evaluating variants according to the same requirements, drawings in scale according to the type and size of the object
d) Clarifying and explaining the essential interrelationships, specifications and conditions
(for example, urban planning, design, functional, technical, economic, ecological, building physics, energy, social, public law)
e) providing the results of the work as a basis for the other parties involved in the planning as well as coordination and integration of their services
f) Preliminary negotiations on approvability
g) Cost estimation according to DIN 276, comparison with the financial framework conditions
h) Preparation of a time schedule with the essential processes of the planning and construction process
i) Summarising, explaining and documenting the results
a) Preparation of the design planning, with further consideration of the essential contexts, specifications and conditions. (for example, urban planning, design, functional, technical, economic, ecological, social, public-legal) on the basis of the preliminary planning and as a basis for the further work phases and the necessary public-legal approvals, using the contributions of others professionally involved in the planning.
Drawings according to the type and size of the object in the required scope and level of detail, taking into account all technical requirements, for example for buildings on a scale of 1:100, for example for interiors on a scale of 1:50 to 1:20
b) Providing the results of the work as a basis for the other technical parties involved in the planning as well as coordinating and integrating their services
c) Object description
d) Negotiations on the approvability
e) Cost calculation according to DIN 276 and comparison with the cost estimate
f) Updating the time schedule
g) Summarising, explaining and documenting the results
a) Preparing and compiling the documents and evidence for public-law approvals or consents, including applications for exceptions and exemptions, as well as necessary negotiations with authorities, using the contributions of other parties professionally involved in the planning.
b) Submission of the documents
c) Supplementing and adapting the planning documents, descriptions and calculations
a) Preparation of the implementation planning with all individual details required for the implementation (in drawings and text) on the basis of the draft and approval planning until the solution is ready for implementation, as a basis for the further service phases.
b) Execution, detail and construction drawings according to the type and size of the object in the required scope and level of detail, taking into account all technical requirements, e.g. for buildings on a scale of 1:50 to 1:1, e.g. for interiors on a scale of 1:20 to 1:1
c) Providing the results of the work as a basis for the other technical participants in the planning, as well as coordinating and integrating their services

e) Updating the execution planning based on the trade-oriented processing during the execution of the object
f) Checking the necessary assembly plans of the building structures and structural installations planned by the project planner for conformity with the implementation planning.
x This special service becomes a basic service in whole or in part if the service description includes a service programme. In this case, the corresponding basic services of this service phase are omitted.
a) Drawing up an award schedule
b) Drawing up specifications with service specifications according to service areas, determining and compiling quantities on the basis of the implementation planning, using the contributions of other parties technically involved in the planning process
c) Coordinating the interfaces to the specifications of those technically involved in the planning.
d) Determining costs on the basis of service specifications priced by the planner.
e) Cost control by comparing the bills of quantities priced by the planner with the cost calculation.
